While dating, I realized,
“It’s not enough to just marry a successful man, I want to be a successful woman first!”
This quote was an epiphany I had while dating. The societal standard has always been marry a successful man and allow him to take care of you, but I came to a realization that I’ll share with you which is… women are successful too! Marriage is a union of two people becoming one but traditionally we were taught to come Into marriage without realizing our full potential while seeking a man who is working towards his. Then I thought how much more powerful can a marriage be when two whole people become one. Like a triangle with marriage being the base, husband on one side working toward his goal, wife on the other side working towards the same goal, so they both meet at the top. As a woman, we should have a clear vision for our future and set all of our affairs in order. I made myself “wife ready” not only for myself and my husband but also to help others carve out the life that they see for themselves.
